We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Wine Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is commission-based, offering the opportunity to earn based on your sales performance while representing our wine business. Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Engagement:

  • Actively promote and sell a range of premium wines to customers in-person, email and via phone.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their preferences and making tailored wine recommendations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a memorable buying experience.

Events and Tastings:

  • Assist in organizing and hosting wine tastings, events, and promotions to drive sales.
  • Educate customers about the unique characteristics of the wines, including production processes, tasting notes, and food pairings.

Order Processing and Follow-Up:

  • Follow up with customers post-sale to maintain relationships and encourage repeat business.

Product Knowledge and Training:

  • Stay informed about the wine portfolio, including the history, winemaking techniques, and key selling points.
  • Keep updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights to customers.

Sales Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions for reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in sales in wine-related roles is preferred.
  • A passion for wine and a willingness to learn about wine products and the industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills for processing orders and maintaining sales records.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Additional Information

  • This is a commission-based role with no fixed salary. Earnings will depend on sales performance.
