Purpose of the role

The purpose of this role is to ensure complete and accurate financial accounts of the specified remit within  the entities and associates.

Duties:

1. Shared Service / Transactional /Accounting / Bookkeeping

• Ensure accurate and timeous bookkeeping of  accounts to enable various company stakeholders to make informed decisions. KEY responsibilities include timely circulation of invoices for approval and processing approved invoices in accordance with company policies.

2. WIC - Debtors, Creditors, Cash

• Efficiently and accurately process large amounts of creditors invoices, adjustment journals, recharges and company allocations.

3. Budget & Internal Reporting

• Participate in the bi-annual budget process, specifically providing inputs to overhead-budgeting for the period. This will require collecting inputs from other departments, analysing the requirement of the spend and forming a view of whether expense is required.

4. Banking

• In depth understanding and ownership of processes which include (approval limits, matrixes and cost centres) to ensure complete, accurate and valid transactions are processed.

5. Audits & Financial Statements

• Assist with audit related queries during the audit process in an efficient and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

1. Formal qualification

• Formal Accounting qualification (Diploma/Degree)

• Drivers license

Job-related experience

• Commercial experience - desirable

• Computer literacy (MS Office)

• ERP system experience - desirable

• Inventory/Export systems experience – desirable

Job-related knowledge

• IFRS/IFRS for SME’s - desirable

• INCO terms - desirable

• FOREX transacting – desirable
