On our farm is 5 small nutec cottages, each private garden braai area, next to vineyard area, each very private, water, gas geyser and stove and solar for basic things, cell phone wifi router available on each.
I dont want to rent out for holiday market.
Its unfurnished , one bed room of 10sqm and 16sqm living room , 3sqm bathroom , shower and toilet , so yes its cosy , haha.
Disclaimer we are far from city, we are near Swellendam.
I want to rent out the cottages on a long term basis as we seek for specific nature - wine loving kind of persons. (no discos on a saturday night - nee dankie)
We currently have just over 5000 producing vines, cabernet sauvignon.
Our offer is for 5 interested parties to rent the cottages on long term , they will each also rent 1000 vines which they can use for making wine in our small winery.
The 1000 vines is very low cropping , about 1.2-1.5 tonnes yearly - so roughly 850 litres of dark brooding cabernet sauvignon.
The winery can handle about 25 tonnes, so each can maybe also buy in some grapes, neighbours have some cultivars.
Or we can all join as a collective and make and sell the wines as one brand and grow a bit more.
We have someone to take care of vines and keep an eye in winery.
We also aim to plant another 10 000 vines, so each partner can have an extra 2000 vines to use, further expansion also possible as we have more land.
110ha , of which u will also have access to, we have some fynbos land , great hiking.
The cost for the grapes and winery rental will be finalised asap, but i just want to cover costs, liquor licence fees, labour, etc
The cottages will rent for R11 500 p/m, u can live permanent or use as holiday pad, but u will take as long term lease. year on year basis .
So i dont know if this will ineterest anyone, it wont be a get rich winemaking project for potential parties, no it will be for having a holiday spot with some winemaking enjoyment, with winery and vines we will just look to cover costs yearly, but we can grow slightly bigger to make more profitable. Maybe 2000 cases of 12 from own vines and maybe more in future from bought in grapes, each with share in the brand and we can grow if we can sell the wine.
