Elands Bay itself with her own coffee shop (very small scale).
I'm currently employed at Laastedrif Agri in the “Sandveld/West Coast region”, in a town called
Elands Bay to be exact. My role currently is one of two Mechanical and Maintenance Workshop
Managers.
We are farming and producing vegetables to our warehouses in Ceres. The vegetables we farm with
are largely; carrots, beetroot, broccoli, butternut and onions.
My workload currently consists of:
servicing, maintaining, repairing of any model/make bakkie, car, forklift and generator.
repairs and rebuilding of implements and harvesting machinery
calibrating fertiliser machinery
management of my department/workshop:
o management of staff working for me (under my supervision)
o working under pressure
o ordering parts
o obtaining quotations
o maintaining a budget allocated for my workshop per financial year
