Duties and Responsibilities

1. Guest Interaction and Sales Support

• Greet and welcome guests warmly as they enter the retail area, creating a positive first impression.
• Assist guests with product inquiries, providing detailed information and recommendations on merchandise.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance guest purchases and meet sales targets.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

1. Merchandise Display and Stock Management

• Ensure merchandise displays are visually appealing, organized, and restocked as needed throughout the day.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding low stock or popular items.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and pricing new merchandise, ensuring items are ready for display.

1. Inventory and Stock Management

• Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and stocked with merchandise and supplies.
• Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring the shop area and reporting any discrepancies.

1. Opening and Closing Responsibilities

• Complete operational opening and closing routines for the retail space, including cash reconciliation.
• Ensure the shop is tidy, secure, and ready for guests at the start and end of each day.

1. Ad-hoc Duties

• Address other tasks as assigned by management based on daily operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience in retail sales or a similar guest-facing role is preferred.

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of wine or luxury merchandise is a plus but not required

Own transport is essential
