Purpose
To administrate, process and prepare information in support of the Financial and Operations function in the business and aligning with the companies processes and values.
Headline Responsibilities
- Accountable for recording and maintaining business, financial and accounting records
- Recording of all financial data and data analysis
- Responsible for purchases, expenses, revenue and invoicing
Key Performance Areas
Financial
- Cash Book: Ensuring all bank accounts are processed and reconciled
- Invoicing & Debtors: Prepare invoices for approval Statements and invoices are sent to clients. Arrears are managed
- Creditors and payments: Capture supplier invoices on Dext. Reconcile supplier accounts on Xero. Assistance in payment runs.
- Preparation of Trial balance: Prepare trial balance and journal entries. Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts. Assist in preparation for annual financial statements and supporting schedule
- VAT and Excise: Bi-monthly VAT and monthly Excise reconciliations, submissions and payments. Assist in VAT verifications and audits
Operations
- Asset Management: Set up and maintain Fixed Asset Register
- Stock: Assist with stock take procedures, results and reconciliations
Procurement
- Suppliers: invoices comply with SARS requirements and supplier terms are adhered to. Complete new Supplier Account Application forms. Purchases of groceries, cleaning material, stationery etc
Data and analytics
- Data collection and capturing: Ensure up to date production data. Assist with accuracy of data reporting. Gather costing data for analysis. Automate data collection processes and transfer to a centralised system for reporting
- Reporting: Transform data into graphs. Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reports.
Qualifications required
- Financial Qualification (BComm undergraduate degree preferable)
Knowledge and Skills requirements
- Computer literacy
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel programmes
- Google Workspace (Ability to work on Google Sheets and Looker Studio)
Systems: Xero, DEAR (Cin7 Core), Dext, Zapier, Safety Culture (knowledge of these systems advantageous but not compulsory)

Salary: Please note this is a junior to intermediate role and the base salary will reflect market rate for that level of experience
Hours: Full-time position (Monday- Friday )
