Sales Representative (Cape Town Central)

DGB, one of South Africa’s largest independent wine and spirit producers and distributors, currently has a Sales Representative position available. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Sales Manager, and will need a combination of wine and spirit knowledge, sales skills, a customer-oriented approach, and be accountable for sales excellence and long-term brand growth.

Duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Drive total sales volume, and increase premium wine and spirits market share through effective on-premise sales strategies and execution *Maintain and grow wine listings on coveted wine lists *Ensure product value propositions align with business objectives and market demands *Execute on-premise sales plans with precision, ensuring alignment with brand strategies, In Trade Execution guidelines, and customer expectations *Implement National, Regional, and ad hoc on-premise promotions and activations on time and in full according to brand plans, maximizing visibility and customer engagement *Ensure accurate and timely data entry and management using SFA system to track sales activities, trade execution and customer interactions *Maintain accurate cycle adherence to maximize customer coverage and optimize sales opportunities *Retain existing on-premise customers while actively acquiring new customers, addressing their needs and ensuring alignment with business strategies *Resolve customer complaints promptly and proactively implement improvement opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty *Together with your RSM, prepare and deliver insightful and accurate trade visits for brand principals and stakeholders *All other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• A relevant Commercial, Sales, or Marketing degree will be advantageous;

• 2-3 years’ of sales experience within the liquor industry or FMCG sector;

• A passion for the liquor industry with a strong understanding of market trends, customer dynamics, and product categories are essential for this role;

• Own reliable, roadworthy, motor vehicle;

• Valid unendorsed driver's license.
