Rueda Wine Co. (www.ruedawine.com) is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Representative to grow our presence in Cape Town. If you have a passion for wine, a talent for sales, and the drive to exceed targets, we want you on our team!
About Us
We import and distribute an exceptional portfolio of wines from South Africa, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain, supplying both private clients and trade customers (restaurants, wine shops, hotels, and wine bars).
What You’ll Do
- Drive sales and grow our customer base in the Cape Town market.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to reach and exceed sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private clients and trade accounts.
- Work closely with your manager and CRM system to enhance sales performance.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and cold-calling.
- Organise and host tastings to showcase our wines and engage potential clients.
- Manage order processing, invoicing, and weekly sales reporting.
- Provide expert product recommendations and deliver exceptional customer service.
What We’re Looking For
- Passion for wine – You love it, understand it, and want to share it.
- Proven sales experience – At least 2+ years in the wine industry with a strong sales track record.
- Wine knowledge – Minimum WSET Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- Strong interpersonal skills – You can build relationships and sell with confidence.
- Highly organised and professional – You’re punctual, presentable, and detail-oriented.
- A go-getter attitude – You thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy team.
- Tech-savvy – Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Functioning smartphone.
