Muratie Wine Estate, a historic gem in Stellenbosch, is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled individual to manage and elevate our Muratie Farm Kitchen, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and high standards.
  • Lead and inspire the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain menu quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Oversee stock control, supplier management, and cost efficiency.
  • Handle guest feedback, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in organizing and executing events and group bookings.
  • Manage cash-ups, financial reports, and restaurant budgets.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with restaurant POS systems and financial reporting.
  • Passion for food, wine, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional evening events.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Reside in Stellenbosch or surrounding areas.

Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa
