The Stock Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate stock data ensuring that theoretical stock matches daily physical counts. This role involves overseeing stock movements, sales consignments, and waste recording, providing real-time visibility of stock.
Key duties include:
- Conducting stock reconciliations,
- Managing fruit repacking,
- Training stagers on procedures,
- Communicating stock variances to stakeholders.
The Stock Coordinator works closely with internal teams and external partners (Packhouses and Stagers) to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
1. Stock System Management
• Manage daily stock movements and sales consignments
• Ensure stock counts align with theoretical order sheets.
• Verify incoming stock in terms of location, brand, and specification, enabling accurate consignments.
• Oversee the transfer of incoming stock through Packhouse API for correct stock management.
• Confirm accuracy of bulk repacks and capture daily fruit waste.
• Report stock variances and reconcile stock via weekly and monthly stock takes.
• Provide timely communication regarding stock variances or changes to stakeholders.
• Train stagers on consignments, repacks, stock transfers, and batch validation.
2. Operations and Admin
• Communicate daily with packhouses and stagers regarding deliveries and stock timing.
• Report stock variances and losses daily.
• Communicate projected stock overages and shortages, and report on quality rejections.
• Maintain operational records, including delivery notes and traceability sheets.
• Partner with IT to optimize stock reports and review stock management practices.
• Assist with updating theoretical order sheets and identifying potential obstacles affecting orders.
• Coordinate equipment inventory and participate in year-end stock counts.
• Assist with packaging material management when required.
3. Stakeholder Liaison
• Facilitate communication between packhouses, stagers, commercial, and QC teams regarding delivery changes.
• Resolve stock variances and ensure daily communication with stagers for stock accuracy.
• Build relationships with stager personnel and collaborate with the Finance Department to resolve stock variance issues.
• Partner with the Commercial Coordinator and Operations Controller for accurate stock reconciliations.
• Assist the Operations Manager with projects to enhance operations and improve customer service.

Formal qualification:
• Bachelors degree
• Related qualification Logistics
• Related qualification Supply Chain Management
• Related qualification in Operations Management
Job-related experience:
• 1-2 Years of Operations Management experience
• Fruit industry experience (desirable)
• FMCG experience (desirable)
Job-related knowledge:
• Logistic knowledge
• Fruit industry knowledge
• Operations Management Job-related skills:
• Attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
