My Client is a market leader in the fresh produce supply, and a service provider to retailers. Their company has an innovative vision on how to supply and provide service to retailers worldwide, managing fresh fruits.
They have an exciting opportunity driven by significant growth, as they are looking to expand their Supply Chain and Marketing team in South Africa. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for both suppliers and customers, overseeing the coordination of supply chain operations and supporting marketing initiatives.
Job Summary
The Supply Chain and Marketing Coordinator will oversee and optimize the company’s supply chain and marketing efforts within the assigned territory. This includes managing supplier relationships, coordinating with sales units to align demand and supply plans, and preparing tailored marketing presentations. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and strategic planning to ensure compliance with company objectives and local standards.
Mission
The Supply Chain and Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for integrating supplier information, aligning sales and marketing efforts with seasonal demands, and ensuring smooth operations and compliance. This position will drive business growth and facilitate the execution of the company’s strategic plans while maintaining quality standards and fostering collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform and refine strategic decisions.
- Supplier Information Management
- Regularly update supplier information into company tools and systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to facilitate smooth operations.
- Sales Unit Coordination
- Collaborate with sales units to gather their target demands for upcoming seasons.
- Develop ad hoc supply schemes tailored to specific programs and seasonal requirements.
- Marketing Support
- Prepare compelling and customized marketing presentations for various units based on their specific seasonal needs.
- Ensure presentations align with company objectives and resonate with diverse audiences.
- Operational Management
- Define, monitor, and achieve targeted budgets and key KPIs in alignment with company goals.
- Oversee pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
- Identify market opportunities and threats, adapting strategies accordingly.
- Team Leadership
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment.

- Organization and Documentation
- Maintain meticulous records and documentation to ensure information is consistently up-to-date and organized.
- Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in data or processes.
- Reporting and Collaboration
- Report directly to the Sourcing team and CEO.
- Collaborate closely with operations, sourcing, finance, and other key departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with supply chain tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strategic mindset with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
