Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a Pastry Chef for a renowned luxury wine estate located in Franschhoek. This role is perfect for a creative and skilled individual with a passion for crafting exceptional pastries and desserts in a high-end kitchen environment.
Salary: R11,000 – R13,000 (Negotiable, Dependent on Experience) | Live-Out
Meal Allowance: R22.50 per shift (for salaries below R25,000)
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods to the highest standards.

Develop and create new pastry menu items that align with the estate’s culinary vision.

Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and flavour in all pastry offerings.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the pastry section at all times.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.

Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a fine-dining or luxury hospitality environment.

Culinary qualification or relevant pastry certification preferred.

Creative flair with a strong eye for detail and presentation.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
