Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Restaurant Supervisor for a prestigious luxury wine estate situated in Franschhoek. This opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic and service-driven individual with a background in fine dining or upmarket restaurant environments.

Salary: R10,000 – R12,000 per month (Negotiable DOE)
Live-Out Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth service delivery

  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to maintain a high standard of service

  • Assist in staff training, development, and performance management

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

  • Maintain excellent customer service standards and handle guest queries and complaints efficiently

  • Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

  • Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering supplies

  • Ensure accurate cash-ups, billing, and POS system management

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in operational and administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a similar luxury restaurant or hospitality environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Excellent guest relations and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Professional appearance and demeanour

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

  • Solid understanding of food and beverage service

  • Wine knowledge will be advantageous
