Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a professional and service-driven Guest Relations Officer / Hotel Receptionist to join a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure, upholding the highest standards of hospitality and communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly welcome and introduce guests to the estate
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally
  • Coordinate and communicate guest information to all relevant departments
  • Assist with restaurant, tour, and transfer bookings, as well as itinerary planning
  • Maintain accurate guest information and rates in the system
  • Update and manage guest profiles using Protel
  • Prepare welcome letters and registration cards
  • Maintain and manage daily itinerary documentation and call logs
  • Handle guest inquiries, calls, and concerns promptly and effectively
  • Assist with lodge reservations, messages, and liaise with Spa, Housekeeping, and Restaurant departments as needed
  • Ensure accurate booking, tracking, and charging of all guest transfers
  • Support restaurant bookings on Dine-plan as required
  • Perform thorough handovers between early/late shifts and Night Auditor
  • Assist with Night Audit duties twice a month

Requirements:

  • Hospitality Certificate or Diploma
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar front-of-house or guest relations role
  • Excellent administrative and computer skills
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong customer service orientation and people skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with high-profile guests
  • Well-groomed, friendly, and confident demeanor
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Proactive attitude and strong team player
  • Must have reliable transport to and from work
