Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at a distinguished fine dining restaurant in Franschhoek. The ideal candidate will be a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of delivering world-class service in a refined environment.

Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of service and operations

  • Supervise and lead the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional guest experiences

  • Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality

  • Assist with training and development of team members

  • Manage reservations and guest relations professionally and efficiently

  • Oversee daily restaurant setup and closing procedures

  • Handle customer queries and resolve any service-related issues

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control

  • Contribute to the implementation of marketing and sales strategies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12

  • Formal hospitality or management qualification (advantageous)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a fine dining environment

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Well-presented, professional, and guest-focused

  • Proficient in restaurant management software and POS systems

  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
