Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at a distinguished fine dining restaurant in Franschhoek. The ideal candidate will be a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of delivering world-class service in a refined environment.
Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of service and operations

Supervise and lead the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional guest experiences

Maintain high standards of food, beverage, and service quality

Assist with training and development of team members

Manage reservations and guest relations professionally and efficiently

Oversee daily restaurant setup and closing procedures

Handle customer queries and resolve any service-related issues

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations

Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control

Contribute to the implementation of marketing and sales strategies
Minimum Requirements:

Matric / Grade 12

Formal hospitality or management qualification (advantageous)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a fine dining environment

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Well-presented, professional, and guest-focused

Proficient in restaurant management software and POS systems

Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
