Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Head Chef for a renowned luxury hotel group based in Cape Town. This is an exceptional opportunity for a culinary leader with a passion for fine cuisine, creativity, and excellence in hospitality.

Salary: Negotiable Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food experiences in line with the hotel's standards

  • Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, presentation, hygiene, and safety

  • Develop seasonal and innovative menus that reflect the brand’s identity and cater to guest preferences

  • Ensure quality control and consistency in every dish served

  • Maintain food cost control and manage kitchen budgets effectively

  • Source and maintain relationships with quality suppliers

  • Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and team morale

  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment

  • Relevant culinary qualification

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Creative and passionate about food trends and innovation

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Strong financial and administrative skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
