Our client, a leading international fruit exporter, is seeking to employ an Area Manager
for Stone & Citrus fruit in the Western & Southern Cape regions.
The location of the position is negotiable.
Minimum knowledge & experience required to perform this job competently:
Education & Experience:
Formal tertiary qualifications with at least 5 – 7 years’ relevant work experience in the fruit and agricultural industry, with specific focus on Stone fruit. Besides technical expertise on Stone fruit, exposure to Citrus and other products will be highly beneficial.
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):
KPA’s will include (but are not limited to) the following essential responsibilities:
- Grow and maintain producer base (Procurement)
- Provide accurate estimates (pre and post season)
- Manage harvesting & packing processes
- Limit unsound deliveries
- Ensure Food Safety requirements met
- Provide technical support
- Manage grower administration
