Join Our Team as a Cellar Worker!

We're looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual to support our winemaking operations as a Cellar Worker. If you're passionate about the craft and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Operations:
• Clean and sanitize tanks, barrels, equipment, and cellar areas
• Assist with grape receiving and processing during harvest
• Perform pump-overs and punch-downs
• Move wines between tanks and barrels
• Top up barrels and monitor wine levels
• Clean and maintain barrel rooms
• Assist with bottling operations
• Help with wine transfers and movements
• Support general cellar maintenance activities
• Maintain rigorous quality and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and
continuously improve processes to consistently deliver safe, high-quality products

Harvest Period Duties:
• Operate grape reception equipment
• Sort grapes on sorting tables
• Clean harvest bins and equipment
• Assist with press operations
• Monitor fermentation tanks
• Work extended hours during peak periods

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications / Experience
• No formal education required, but previous cellar experience preferred
• Basic understanding of cellar hygiene
• Physical ability to perform manual labour
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
• Basic communication skills in English or Afrikaans

• Attention to detail in cleaning procedures
• Ability to work safely with equipment
• Basic understanding of sanitation
• Reliable and punctual
• Team player
• Physical stamina
• Ability to work safely with chemicals
• Understanding of basic cellar safety protocols
• Proper use of protective equipment
• Knowledge of emergency procedures
• Ability to work at heights (ladders, catwalks)

Work Environment
• Full-time permanent position
• Seasonal overtime during harvest
• Early morning starts
• Indoor work in cool, wet conditions
• Physical work including lifting and climbing
• Weekend work during peak seasons
