Our client, Stellenzicht Wines, is looking for a competent individual to fill the role of Hospitality Manager. The purpose of this position is to take full responsibility of the entire Stellenzicht Wines, to meet and exceed customer expectations in the Tasting room wine and food offering, to manage Functions, and to manage and control the Front of House Managers & staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
Hospitality:
- Responsible for Front of-House operations
- Host VIP groups
- Book and invoice tastings for tour groups, invoice wine sales from cellar door
- Book and arrange sea born shipments
- Issue vouchers and bill accordingly
- Arrange functions for Front of House
- Liaise with kitchen re operations in restaurant
- Take responsibility for training and high service level of all staff in the Front of House
- Marketing of cellar door
Administration:
- Manage Hospitality, including roster coordination and discipline
- Appoint & manage Hospitality assistants
- Responsible for stock take, control and reconciliation of the Hospitality stock
- Order wine from dry store and order from Stellenzicht Wines
- Stock take and reconciliation of wine and merchandise
- Responsible for checking daily cash ups
- Prepare banking & banking sheets (records)
- Prepare purchase orders for items needed in the Hospitality
- Report maintenance issues in Front of House
- Line management function for Front of House Managers, FOH Assistants, Barista and Housekeepers
- Prepare salary input for Hospitality staff
- Daily Stock & monthly management on Pilot of wine and merchandise
- Prepare Hospitality & Building/Maintenance budget
General:
- Coordinate shipping of wine from tasting room to end destination via agent
- Drive sales targets and motivate Front of House Managers and Tasting Room Assistants to do the same
- Manage wine orders coming through email
- Manage Dine plan booking system
- Weekly Hospitality report
- Manage budget expenditure
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Front or House and/or Wine Service Courses an advantage (Cape Wine Academy)
- Previous experience in managing a tasting room & restaurant
- Hospitality Management degree/diploma or other tertiary education in business
