Sales Representative

My client a well-established company with a national footprint, has a vacancy for a dynamic Sales Representative with experience in the hospitality/wine industry to join their young, dynamic team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for presenting and selling company products to current and potential clients and identifying sales prospects within the wine and spirits industry.

Required- qualifications, skills and experience:

• Qualification in marketing or similar will be advantageous
• Minimum 2 years sales experience in the wine industry
• Knowledge of the wine industry
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to meet deadlines and targets

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Market and promote all products offered by Company
  • Conduct regular visits to an agreed list of customers
  • Offer all products in the company range to all customers.
  • Continuously canvas for new business at existing customers.
  • Continuously canvas for new customers.
  • Submit quotations and samples of company products.
• Product Knowledge
  • Obtain and study all relevant commercial and technical information on all products offered by company.
• Sales Performance
  • Prepare annual sales budget including specialised products.
  • Achieve all targets and goals as expected by the company.
  • Regularly analyse personal sales and customer reports in line with targets and budget.
• Commercial Knowledge
  • Obtain regularly updated price lists of all products offered by company.
  • Adhere to Customer Complaints Procedure.
• Operational Procedure
  • Adhere to order processing procedure.
  • Adhere to order distribution schedule.
  • Be aware of stock levels at all times.
  • Adhere to lead-time requirements where applicable.
