De Warenmarkt restaurant has a unique opportunity for a restaurant floor manager in the heart of central Stellenbosch
We are looking for a experienced restaurant floor manager who has strong operational and leadership skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Management:
- Ensure that all guests receive excellent service and have a positive dining experience.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee reservations and manage seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
- Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and lead front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours.
- Provide ongoing training and performance feedback to staff to maintain service standards.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Monitor the pacing of service, ensuring that food and drinks are delivered promptly.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure the quality of food and timely delivery.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including floors, tables, and restrooms.
- Oversee the handling of food and beverages, ensuring proper sanitation and safety
- Communication and Coordination:
- Act as the point of contact between front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Communicate any issues or special requests with kitchen and management.
- Collaborate with other managers to address operational concerns and improve guest satisfaction.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Minimum five years of food and beverage management
