This role plays a pivotal part in delivering on that promise by ensuring our team, especially in hospitality, are supported, inspired, and empowered to thrive. As a People Experience Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to hospitality and operational leaders across the farm. Your mission is to elevate the employee experience, build team capability, and enable a value-aligned, high-performance culture. This is a hands-on, relationship-focused role that bridges strategic HR with day-to-day people’s needs.
You will partner closely with teams in accommodation, events, culinary, guest experiences, and broader farm operations to ensure people’s practices support exceptional service, team wellbeing, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
· Serve as the primary people partner for hospitality and guest-facing teams.
· Support HODs and managers with talent planning, workforce optimisation, and people performance.
· Act as a sounding board on org design, structure, and team dynamics.
Employee Experience
· Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and feedback cycles.
· Monitor culture and morale across teams; support proactive interventions.
· Collaborate on onboarding, orientation, and continuous experience touchpoints.
Performance & Development
· Support implementation of performance frameworks (e.g. Skill/Will model).
· Identify skill gaps and coordinate learning initiatives or coaching where needed.
· Champion leadership development and career progression pathways.
Operational HR Support
· Manage key employee lifecycle events (e.g. probation, exit interviews, wellness check-ins).
· Partner with payroll, recruitment, and HR admin to ensure smooth people operations.
· Assist in resolving workplace issues in a fair, respectful, and timely manner.
People Projects
· Contribute to People & Culture projects (e.g. long service, wellness campaigns, values rollouts).
· Support integration of seasonal or part-time staff during peak periods.
· Help drive DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging) initiatives across teams.
Requirements:
Experience & Skills
· Minimum 5–7 years in HR / People Partnering in hospitality or service-based environments.
· Solid working knowledge of South African labour law and people policies/practices.
· Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
· Comfortable in fast-paced, frontline, and dynamic operational environments.
· Experience supporting diverse teams with varying backgrounds.
· Proficient in HRIS systems and Payspace systems advantages
· Proven experience in coaching, conflict resolution, organisational development and change management
Education
· Degree or diploma in HR, Industrial Psychology, Hospitality Management or related.
