Bouchard Finlayson, situated in the Hemel en Aarde Valley, has a harvest opportunity available for the 2026 season. It will be from late January to end of March.
You will be exposed to all aspects of winemaking in a boutique environment with an emphasis on quality and attention to detail. Bouchard Finlayson is renowned for making high end Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-Grape sampling and analysis.
-Receival and processing of grapes.
-Fermentation management.
-Punch downs and pump overs.
-Barrel work.
-Cleaning of cellar and equipment.
You will be part of a small team that works closely together.
Requirements:
-Valid driver’s license.
-Willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
-Currently completing or having completed a degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or similar. If not, previous harvest experience may also be accepted.
-Strong attention to detail.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
An experience-based salary is offered as well as overtime.
