A vacancy exists for a well-groomed individual with a passion for people and wine to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to The Studio Manager will be based in Stellenbosch.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist Studio Manager in managing the venue as a retail extension of the brand in the form of wine tastings, wine sales & wine education, communication and consumer experience;
•Achieve targeted sales and maintain costs in line with the agreed budgets;
•Basic management of venue, i.e. overhead stock control, cash management (including petty cash), cleaning & preparation at opening and closing ;
•Stock control and rotation of food & menu items;
•Maintain optimum stock levels as per POS system;
•Reconcile cash sales with system every day;
•Ensure kitchen health & safety compliance to regulations are upheld;
•Ensure proper safety standards are upheld;
•Manage consumer complaints with urgency and sensitivity;
•Managing bookings & correspondence timeously;
•Prepare & submit month end report, including sales, activities & variances;
•Oversee relevant Markets, Attend Festivals & Wine Shows;
•Promoting sales and events on all related platforms and keeping the Digital Marketing Manager updated;
•HR Management - recruitment, training, discipline and performance against established standards;
•Assist with staff roster and proper rotation within budget;
Skills and Qualifications:
•Matric with at least 2-3 years’ management experience in the Hospitality Industry
•Excellent management and communication skills
•Ability to work independently and under pressure.
•Attention to detail
•SAP experience will be advantageous
•Prepared to work shifts
