As Blueberry Production Manager you will take charge of operations that deliver high-quality berries to markets near and far. Reporting to the Farm Manager the Production Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of blueberry cultivation, from planting to harvest.
- Develop and implement production schedules aligned with seasonal and market demands.
- Monitor crop health, soil conditions, irrigation, pest/disease control, and nutrition programs.
- Supervise farm workers and coordinate with field teams to ensure labour efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production, inputs, yields, and compliance with safety/agricultural standards.
- Collaborate with logistics and sales teams to ensure timely distribution.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in berry or fruit crop production.
- Strong knowledge of blueberry farming practices, pest/disease management, and GAP standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in farm management software and field technologies is a plus.
- Flexible, hands-on, and able to work extended hours during peak seasons.
