Chamonix Wine Farm, situated high above the Franschhoek Valley, is looking for two self-motivated, energetic, hands-on and good work-spirit Harvest Interns from January – May 2026 with the option of housing that will be provided. The successful candidates will report directly to the winemaking team.
Key responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
- Wine and must additions;
- Fermentation control;
- Racking of wine;
- Pressing;
- Barrel Work;
- Grape data collection and intake;
- Yeast Preparation;
- Cellar Hygiene
Skills and competencies
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Physically capable of completing tasks;
- Working as a team;
- Able to work in a fast pace environment;
- Following instructions accurately;
- Excellent interpersonal- & communication skills;
- Productivity & Efficiency;
- Self-disciplined.
Requirements:
- Viticulture & Oenology degree/diploma;
- Driver’s lisence & own transport
- Working overtime during harvest when required
- Previous cellar experiences
