We are looking for a dynamic and service-driven Hospitality Assistant to join our award-winning team and help deliver an outstanding tasting room experience at our beautiful estate in Stellenbosch.
About the Role
As a key part of the hospitality team, you will support the Front of House and Hospitality Managers in the day-to-day operations of our Tasting Room. From hosting guests and VIPs to managing a team of assistants and ensuring seamless food and wine service, your contribution will help us exceed visitor expectations and maintain the high standards of the brand.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with a strong sense of leadership and hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Guest Experience:

Assist in managing floor operations and ensuring excellent service levels

Host wine tastings, estate tours, and lunches, including for VIP guests

General waitron duties and front-of-house responsibilities

Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations

Support function planning (e.g., tastings, meetings, private events)
Team & Leadership:

Help lead, train, and motivate Tasting Room Assistants

Ensure high standards of service are upheld across the team
Administration & Operations:

Opening/closing of the Tasting Room
-
Stock control and reconciliation
-
Support with cash-ups and financial procedures
-
Report maintenance issues and uphold cleanliness standards
Sales & Marketing:

Promote Wine Club memberships and drive daily sales targets

Ensure accurate customer details for shipping and records

Provide updates and content for social media (e.g., VIP visits)
