Internship Overview

We are looking for a motivated Harvest Intern to join our winemaking team from January to April 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of winemaking during the busy harvest period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all winemaking activities throughout the harvest.
  • Perform daily cellar duties, including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and managing wine stocks.
  • Take accurate grape samples and support lab analysis to maintain wine quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with cellar team and management to ensure smooth winemaking operations.
  • Support administrative tasks related to harvest activities.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems to keep production on schedule.

What You’ll Experience

Under the guidance of our experienced winemaking team, you will be involved in:

  • Grape sampling and analysis
  • Pressing and extraction processes
  • Cleaning tanks, barrels, and cellar equipment
  • Rackings and wine transfers
  • Additions and yeast inoculations
  • Monitoring fermentations and performing pump-overs

Candidate Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends during harvest
  • Preference will be given to South African applicants

Internship Details

  • Duration: January – April 2026
