Leopard’s Leap Vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure to join the Restaurant team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

* assist Pastry Chef to create innovative desserts, pastries, and confectionary items according to established recipes and standards * measure and prepare ingredients ensuring correct handling and storage of ingredients * assist with inventory and stock management * ensure cleanliness of pastry section by following strict hygiene regulations

 Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

 * degree or diploma in culinary arts / formal chefs training * previous experience in a similar position  * knowledge of and a strong interest in a variety of pastry and confectionary techniques and trends * strong interpersonal and communication skills  * ability to function as part of a team * ability to work independently and take initiative
* ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment * willingness to work on weekends and public holidays * own transport
