Machine Operator - Bottling Plant

Breede River Valley Bottling (BBK) specializes in the bottling and packaging of wine and other beverages and currently has an exciting opportunity for a 
Machine Operator: Bag in a Box Packaging Line available to form part of its dynamic team.

Reporting to the Line Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Operating of machine to ensure efficiencies and production targets are met
• Recordkeeping to ensure compliance to Food Safety and Quality standards and traceability and investigating deviations and reporting to the Line Manager
• Sterilize equipment as per plan and procedure to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment aligned to Health and Safety standards
• Monitor machines proactively to reduce waste and manage cost

Successful candidates need to align to the following requirements:

• Grade 12
• 1 years’ experience in a production environment
• Experience as an Operator or similar position preferred
• Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Standards (HACCP)
• Ability to work under pressure and to follow instructions
• Good numerical- and writing skills
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and the ability to work independently
