Lynx Collection is seeking a talented and motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will support and uphold the Head Chef’s culinary vision for our restaurant with a strong eye for quality, taste, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all opening, closing, and side duties under the Head Chef’s direction
- Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, ensuring taste, quality, and presentation
- Direct food preparation and collaborate closely with the Executive Chef
- Train, guide, and support new kitchen team members
- Maintain and monitor kitchen inventory to ensure sufficient stock and quality
- Place and manage food supply orders
- Oversee the correct use, cleaning, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Ensure all workstations are kept clean, safe, and compliant with health and hygiene standards
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise in the kitchen
- Continuously seek to optimize cooking processes, balancing speed, consistency, and quality
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills across a variety of food groups and techniques
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Proven leadership experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in kitchen breakfast service
- Familiarity with Spice Kitchen operations
- Strong motivational presence to support and guide staff in challenging situations
- Solid knowledge of current health and safety regulations
- Formal culinary training or certification (advantageous)
- Proven hands-on kitchen experience
