Quality Controller: Dry Goods

Breede River Valley Bottling (BBK) specializes in the bottling and packaging of wine and other beverages and currently has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Controller: Dry Goods available to form part of its dynamic team.

Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Conduct overall quality control process of dry goods on receipt according to the supplier’s specification and report any deviations for follow up with Supplier and advise on rejects.
• Liaise with Line Managers on production line where issues arise regarding dry goods not within specification
• Data capture for approval and filing of all applicable documentation
• Reporting deviations to the responsible Manager
• Align control processes with Food Safety Standards

Successful candidates need to align to the following requirements:

• Grade 12
• 3 years’ experience in a Production Environment and in a similar role
• Basic HACCP knowledge
• Numerical Acumen
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and with a proactive approach
• Willingness to work overtime
• Knowledge of packaging material, wine additives and chemicals will be advantageous
