Blaauwklippen Tasting House Cashier - Stellenbosch

Blaauwklippen Wine Estate is looking for a Cashier to manage the point-of-sale system in the Tasting House Shop. We are looking for someone who is warm and welcoming and has a passion for customer service.

Full-Time (includes weekends & public holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist with purchases in a professional manner.
• Operate point of sale system and process transactions accurately, including credit/debit cards, snapscan, vouchers and other payment methods.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area.
• Provide basic product knowledge about wines and tastings when necessary.
• Collaborate with the sales and tasting room staff to ensure smooth customer experience.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts and report any discrepancies.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred, especially in food, beverage or hospitality setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle transactions with accuracy and honesty.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of wine preferred - willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
