Seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant

A wine farm in the Franschhoek area seeks to employ a presentable and reliable individual to assist in the Tasting Room.

Duties include:

• Set up the restaurant/wine tasting in keeping with the reservations requirements for each day throughout the day
• Provide welcoming and friendly customer service to guests at all times
• Greet guests, pour welcoming drink and action introduction
• Barista duties
• Making of platters and snack orders
• Serve and present food offering
• Assist waitrons and wine advisors to clear and set up tables
• Assist waitron and wine advisors with guest service and duties
• Ensure that the retail display areas are neat, stocked and well presented.
• Clear all service areas at the end of each shift, and prepare for the next service period
• Scullery duties. Washing and polishing off glasses, cutlery and crockery
• Assist with any other duties as needed and instructed by management

Requirements:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Good hygiene practices
• Barista experience
• Excellent Customer service standards
• Work well under pressure
• Excellent communication skills ( proficient in at least 2 languages)
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Organizing and coordination abilities
• Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous
