International Projects Assistant - Wines of South Africa

We have a position in the Wines of South Africa office for an International Projects Assistant. We are looking for an individual who will assist in the management of projects that run across more than one international market - as well as internal projects.

Roles and key performance areas will include:
Assisting with Project Management; assisting with development and running of non-show projects and platforms; Workshops, Seminars and International Shows; Financial Management; Support Market Managers and Country PR agencies; Maintain a high level of both internal and external customer service.

EXPERIENCE:

• Exposure to planning and coordination of events
• Exposure to online website information systems
• Experience in data capture and booking systems
• Experience in admin related roles where there is emphasis on attention to detail
• Basic numeric skills; able to understand a budget and variances
• 1+ years of work experience
• Experience in the Wine industry will be favourable
• Good computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Internet based platforms, email

 KNOWLEDGE OF:

• Basic knowledge of the SA wine / the wine industry
• Basic understanding of industry stakeholders and the role that they play
• Basic understanding of the dynamics that exist within the industry (producers, journalists)
• Basic understanding of the key producers and their role within the industry
• WoSA Strategy and budgets
• Understands how WoSA strategy is rolled out in execution
• Understanding of logistics and the need to plan in this regard
• Problem solving mentality with good attention to detail
• Effective management of relationships
• Importance of planning and effective time management; able to convert plans into action
• Customer focused communication

CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS:
(List the licenses, certificates or registrations that are required to perform the essential duties of this job).

• Valid EB Drivers Licence is preferable
• Completion of a Cape Wine Academy Course preferable

EDUCATION:

• Min: Diploma              
• Ideal: Tertiary Education with a focus on Wine.
