Despatch Clerk - Temporary | Landskroon Tasting Room

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Temporary Despatch Clerk to join our Tasting Room team at Landskroon Wine Farm, situated on the Suid-Agter Paarl Road, on an ad hoc basis, as shifts become available. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all wine purchased in the tasting room is accurately booked out and handed over to customers at the Despatch area of the Tasting Room.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately record and book out all wine purchased from the tasting room;
• Prepare and check orders to ensure correctness and quality before despatch;
• Assist customers by safely loading their purchases into their vehicles, when required;
• Maintain a clean and organised despatch area;
• Liaise with tasting room staff to ensure smooth customer service and efficient order handling;
• Assist with general cleaning tasks of the Tasting Room and surrounding area;
• Assist with stock taking, when required;
• Uphold the winery’s standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.

 Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills;
• Physically able to lift and carry cases of wine;
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team;
• Previous experience in despatch, retail, or a hospitality environment is advantageous;
• Reliable and dependable;
• Willing to work weekends, after hours and public holidays
