Our client, Elleke Wines, is seeking a Senior Brand Ambassador to represent Ridgeback Wines and Eagles’ Nest Wines in Gauteng and Mpumalanga. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing distribution, building brand prestige, and driving sales growth within the premium hospitality, retail, and private client sectors.
This role will act as the face of the brands, deliver tastings, host events, support trade partners, and ensure the brands are consistently positioned and listed in premium outlets.
Due to most activities in the role being based in Gauteng, it is preferred that the successful candidate is based in this area.
Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): *Brand Representation: Host tastings, wine dinners, and private client events; deliver presentations and training for trade partners; maintain and communicate the premium brand story, heritage, and positioning. *Sales and Trade Development: Grow listings in fine dining, luxury hotels, boutique wine retailers, and premium lifestyle venues; support distributors and agents; build relationships with key sommeliers, buyers, and retail owners; identify new premium wine opportunities and execute activations; quarterly travel to KZN for relationship-building and events. *Marketing and Events: Plan and execute premium events (wine dinners, lifestyle collaborations, art, polo, golf); represent brands at wine and luxury lifestyle shows; collaborate with the South Africa marketing team on regional content and wine club/direct-to-consumer initiatives. *Reporting and Coordination: Provide monthly reports on sales, events, and competitor activity; track trade sales and activations; share customer and market insights to support national sales strategy.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in sales/marketing/brand representation in the premium wine market, specifically in the Gauteng area;
- Strong presentation skills;
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans advantageous);
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport, with a willingness to travel regularly within South Africa.
Commencement date: January / February 2026.
