A wine cellar in Paarl is seeking to employ a well experienced Bottling Line Manager.

The position will be responsible for overseeing the entire bottling and packaging process, ensuring production targets are met, quality and safety standards are maintained, and the team performs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management:
    Oversee the entire bottling and packaging process, ensuring efficient and effective operations. 
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and motivate the bottling line team, providing guidance and support to achieve production goals. 
  • Quality Control:
    Implement and maintain quality and safety standards (e.g., BRC, IFS) to ensure product integrity and safety. 
  • Technical Maintenance:
    Conduct first-line technical maintenance of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. 
  • Production Targets:
    Meet production targets and manage loss control, ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimizing waste. 
  • Safety:
    Lead and champion safety, driving a zero-tolerance approach to unsafe practices and engaging the team 
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity 

  • Other tasks:
    All other tasks as assigned 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the Bottling, Beverage Production, or Manufacturing Industry. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. 
  • Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues. 
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal and people skills. 
  • Relevant Qualification: Relevant technical qualification in Engineering or Operations Management is advantageous.
