Helderberg
An esteemed wine farm in the Helderberg area is looking for seasonal tasting room staff
Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
• Receiving of visitors and company guests;
• Daily tasting room wine sales, wine tasting
• Provide information regarding company products and general knowledge on the South African wine industry;
• Assisting with special tastings and company functions and events, internal or external;
• Responsible for always keeping the Tasting Room neat and tidy;
• Assisting with restaurant-related duties, including:
o Taking food orders and serving tables
o Clearing, resetting, and presenting guest tables according to standard;
o Conduct food and wine pairings when required;
o Liaising with kitchen and restaurant pass manager to ensure smooth guest service;
o Ensuring high standards of service in both the tasting and dining areas;
• Assisting with any ad-hoc duties.
Skills and competencies:
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Able to function within a team;
• Able to work in a fast pace environment;
• Following instructions.
Requirements:
• Grade 12;
• Previous experience in the wine and hospitality industry will be advantageous
• Excellent Wine knowledge;
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour;
• Flexibility to work during the week, weekends, festive season, public holidays, and evenings as needed (Closed: Christmas day and New Years day)
• Own transport to and from work.
