PB Liquor Merchants has an exciting opportunity available for a Stock & Logistics Controller to join their team based in Paarl, Western Cape.
This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination and execution of all logistics and stock-related activities. This includes the management of stock movements between warehouses, the accuracy of stock reconciliations, coordination of deliveries, and maintaining efficient communication between internal teams and suppliers to support operational continuity
KPA’s will include: *Stock & Inventory Management: Monitor daily stock levels and movements; Manage inbound/outbound stock replenishment and capture supplier purchase orders; Handle PODs, stock transfers, shortages/overages; book and confirm delivery slots with transporter for major retailers; Manage & verify stock counts, plan upliftments and old stock returns; Prepare monthly inventory valuations reports & reconcile variances; Track and document stock adjustments and maintain accurate system records; Confirm stock-take dates and verify warehouse accounts and supplier invoices. *Logistics Management: Plan transport between farms, warehouses, and clients; Liaise with drivers and service providers to ensure on-time deliveries; Monitor schedules, resolve delivery/PO/invoice queries, and maintain logistics records; Support improvements in routes, delivery processes, and warehouse coordination. *Samples & Special Stock: Capture all samples in satellite warehouses; Oversee sample movement, availability, and documentation; Communicate sample stock information and delivery logistics to relevant departments; Maintain accurate records of sample allocations & returns. *Reporting & Administration: Compile and submit logistics and stock movement reports; Maintain accurate and organised filing systems for delivery, stock, and transport records; Provide support to management during audits or stock reviews related to logistics.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Diploma in Logistics/Supply Chain Management;
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience in logistics coordination or warehouse management;
- Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management processes;
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or stock management systems (Palladium advantageous);
- Own reliable transport.
