Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an Assistant Hotel Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate situated in the heart of Franschhoek. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Hotel Manager in overseeing day-to-day hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Manage and coordinate all front-of-house departments, including reception, housekeeping, and guest services
Supervise staff to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction at all touchpoints
Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism and efficiency
Assist with financial administration including budgeting, stock control, and payroll processing
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance throughout the property
Contribute to team training, development, and performance management
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
Assist in planning and coordinating hotel events, functions, and VIP experiences
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within a luxury hospitality environment
Hospitality management qualification preferred
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel property management systems
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Salary: R23,000 – R26,000 (Negotiable, Dependent on Experience) | Live-Out
Meal Allowance: R22.50 per shift (for salaries below R25,000)
