Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a professional and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch on a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality dishes according to the Head Chef’s recipes and specifications, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain health, hygiene, and safety requirements in the kitchen
Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
Keep your area of responsibility clean and tidy at all times
Inform the Head Chef regarding ingredient orders
Ensure all mise-en-place is freshly prepared and ready on time
Ensure all dishes are correctly garnished, portioned, and presented according to specifications
Optimise the cooking process for efficiency and quality
Support a smooth and friendly working environment within the kitchen
Main Requirements:
Culinary Certificate or Diploma
Preferably 2–3 years’ experience as a Demi Chef de Partie
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
Strong customer service orientation and people skills
Ability to maintain professional working relationships across all departments
Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele
Honest, flexible, accountable, and professional
Friendly, helpful, and outgoing
Punctual, self-disciplined, and extremely detail-oriented
