Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and creative Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury wine estate in the heart of Stellenbosch. This role is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about delivering exceptional fine dining experiences in a fast-paced, refined environment.

Key Responsibilities:


Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation


Oversee and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork


Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients


Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations


Monitor stock levels, control costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations


Uphold the property’s reputation for fine dining through consistency and attention to detail


Requirements:


Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training


Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment


Strong leadership and organisational skills


Creative flair with an eye for detail and a passion for modern, high-quality cuisine


Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure


Package:


Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month (Negotiable, depending on experience)


Full-time, live-out position
