Front of House Assistant

Join Our Team as a Front of House Assistant! Are you passionate about great hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences? We’re looking for a warm, energetic, and service-focused Front of House Assistant to join our tasting room team in Robertson. In this role, you’ll be the welcoming guests, guiding them through our tastings, and ensuring every visitor enjoys an exceptional and engaging experience. This role also requires administrative duties and overseeing the team.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and upselling of wines to customers;
• Manage guests experience by welcoming guests to the Tasting room, upsell pairings and wine farm activities;
• Assisting with presentation and execution of wine tastings and pairings to clients;
• Overseeing and coordinating of staff;
• Daily cash ups;
• Wine sales and invoicing;
• Responsible for managing the emails, bookings and telephone;
• Responsible for stock taking in the Tasting Room;
• Assisting with special functions in the tasting room;
• General duties in the Tasting Room

 Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification;
• Formal wine education will be advantageous;
• Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and in the wine industry;
• Ability to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays;
• Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills with guests, management, and colleagues;
• Willing to work after hours and weekends;
• Well-presented, Reliable and dependable;
• passionate about the wine industry, professional and client orientated
• Effective and dedicated team player
