Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and creative Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury wine estate located in the heart of Stellenbosch. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation

  • Oversee and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork

  • Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients

  • Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations

  • Monitor stock levels, control costs, and ensure efficient kitchen operations

  • Uphold the property’s reputation for fine dining through consistency and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent professional training

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef within a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills

  • Creative flair with an eye for detail and a passion for modern, high-quality cuisine

  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure

Package:

  • Salary: R20,000 – R30,000 per month (Negotiable, depending on experience)

  • Full-time, live-out position
