Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Sales to join a prestigious luxury hotel based in Cape Town. This position plays a vital role in driving the property’s commercial strategy, leading sales initiatives, and positioning the hotel as a top choice within both local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximise revenue and market share.

  • Lead the sales team to deliver against performance objectives across multiple market segments including corporate, MICE, and leisure.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure cohesive brand positioning and guest experience.

  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.

  • Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting, and budgeting in line with business goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in a senior sales management role within the luxury hospitality industry.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in high-end hotel sales, ideally within Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a dynamic sales team.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strategic thinker with creativity and commercial acumen.

  • Willingness to travel and flexibility to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment.

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing or Hotel Management advantageous.

Package:
