This role oversees the full operation of the tasting room while also driving revenue through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. It requires a blend of hospitality leadership, brand representation, and proactive sales outreach to grow the business both onsite and offsite. The tasting room manager ensures guests enjoy an exceptional tasting room experience.

Tasting Room Management

  • Lead day-to-day tasting room operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
  • Train, schedule, and supervise staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Manage inventory, product displays, and overall presentation of the space.
  • Develop and maintain tasting room procedures, including opening/closing protocols and cash-handling processes.

Wine Club & Guest Engagement

  • Oversee wine club enrollment, communication, fulfilment, and member retention.
  • Plan and execute club events, release weekends, and exclusive member experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with guests and convert visitors into long-term supporters of the brand.

Sales & Trade Outreach

  • Actively represent the winery in the local market, maintaining a consistent presence with restaurants, retailers, and hospitality partners.
  • Secure new placements and strengthen existing accounts through regular visits, tastings, and relationship management.
  • Develop partnerships with tour companies and travel organizations to increase visitor traffic.

Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Create and execute marketing campaigns that highlight the brand and drive visitation.
  • Collaborate on promotional materials, event marketing, and storytelling initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, wine, tasting room management, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and customer-service abilities.
  • Sales-driven mindset with experience cultivating trade relationships.
  • Ability to manage staff, multitask, and operate with flexibility.
