Bacco Estate, a brand-new winery in Paarl, is looking for an experienced sommelier to join our team. Serving unique Super Tuscan varietal wines and serving up thoughtful cicchetti small dishes to pair. We pride ourselves on having a 5 star team, and are looking for somebody to join us in this adventure of growth together.

About the role:
- You will expert your knowledge on Bacco Estate wines while ensuring a five-star service to our patrons.
- We are seeking a thorough professional who understands the wine industry and makes recommendations with confidence and passion.
- As a Sommelier, you will delight our guests by helping them choose the best wine to complete meal experiences.
- You will be responsible of stock taking, as well as ensuring all beverages are stored securely.
- You will share your knowledge through informative training of the outlet team members and management.
- As we are on the Franshoek Wine Tram we see a lot of quick turn over during the day. This means that you will also be able to help the team with waitering and floor duties whenever necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- You are passionate about wine and have relevant experience in a similar property.
- You have a good understanding of both new and old-world wines and will be qualified to WSET level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- You have a natural flair for service and in delivering a strong service culture, with ability to motivate and develop others.
