The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Business Manager: Citrus and be based in the Letsitele area.
Requirements:
• A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably a degree/diploma in Agriculture/Commerce).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fruit management and export (preferably citrus and grapes).
• Technical knowledge of citrus fruits, packaging, and quality policies.
• Familiarity with producers.
• Excellent communication skills at various levels, including colleagues, producers, and third parties involved in the area.
• Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office).
• Willingness to travel.
• Own transport is essential.
• Experience with GlobalGap, Siza, and HACCP will be advantageous.
Job Description:
• Procurement of fruit (Products: Citrus).
• Providing a service to Product Managers and producers/suppliers.
• Implementation and maintenance of fruit quality and food safety.
• Involvement in logistics during the season to ensure smooth fruit flow.
• Ensuring operational and logistical processes are carried out according to market allocations and packaging instructions.
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders.
• Assisting other departments and operational activities.
• Public relations.
• Collecting information for necessary departments.
• Assisting with administrative tasks.
