Junior Farm Manager

Golden Yolk is a large, established layer poultry farm and they are looking for a Junior Farm Manager located in Paarl. 

This position is ideal for a dynamic person who wants to grow his/her career.  The ideal candidate is a neat and proactive individual with excellent leadership, planning and communication skills (Afrikaans and English).

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the management of layer poultry farming and all relevant farming activities
• Assist in the management of poultry houses
• Personnel management
• Ensure that bio-security measures are adhered to
• Assist with production planning
• Assist with stock management and purchases
• Administration of checklists and farming operations
• Assist with maintenance and inventory management of equipment, vehicles and tools

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification (diploma / degree) will be beneficial
• Previous exposure to the agriculture industry will strengthen the application
• Exposure in a layer poultry production environment will be beneficial
• Organisational and planning skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Professional administrative and computer skills
